Developer invests over US$ 130 m in Boten Golden City
Developer of Boten Golden City has invested over US$ 130 million in developing basic infrastructure in the special economic zone in Luang Namtha.
The money had been spent on constructing warehouse and logistic facilities, hotels, restaurants, mini markets and staff’s dormitories, according to Executive Director of the Golden Boten City Special Economic Zone Mr. Khamvone Phetthavong.
The Golden Boten City SEZ is being developed on 1,640 ha.
The government holds 30 per cent of shares of the development project, the rest is held by foreign investors.
A workshop on the administration and management of the Boten Golden City SEZ was held on September 1 in Luang Namtha.
The meeting was chaired by Minister to Government Office Ms. Bounpheng Mounphosay and who is also Vice-President of the National Committee for Special and Specific Economic Development Zone (S-NCSEZ).
Also present at the opening ceremony of the workshop were Vice-Governor of Luangnamtha, Mr. Phanthong Thitthoumma, President of the Golden Boten City, Mr. Huang Min Xuan and relevant officials.
