VGP – Lao PM Thongsing Thammavong said “Việt Nam is a typical investor in Laos” as its investment has effectively contributed to socio-economic development in his country.
The PM made the statement while co-chairing the Việt Nam-Laos Investment Cooperation Conference held in Vientiane capital on Saturday.
Vietnamese investors have been so active in business and respected Laos’ law and customs. They have also made important contribution to social welfare work here, PM Thongsing Thammavong noted.
He called on Vietnamese investors to continue large-scale investment in Laos.
The Lao Government chief urged his inferior levels to create favorable conditions for quick and effective deployment of Việt Nam’s investment in Laos.
To date, Vietnamese enterprises have had 203 investment projects totaling over US $3.3 billion in Laos, according to Vietnamese Minister of Planning and Investment Bùi Quang Vinh.
