Landslide triggered by heavy rainfalls on Sept 19 in Samneua district, Houaphan province, has resulted in three human deaths.
The disaster also destroyed two houses.
Landslide in Banh Village, Houaphanh
The deaths were identified as Mr. Vanthone, 55, (father); Mrs. Eng, 50 (mother) and Ms. Loun, 16, (daughter). The three deaths were residents of Banh village, Samneua district, Houaphan province.
Fortunately, other two Loun’s siblings haven’t been killed in the disaster as both of them were staying at relative’s house while the incident took place.
Once the landslide took place, local authorities and villagers immediately went to the scene and tried to rescue the family but they couldn’t save their lives.
