The central province of Nghe An held a memorial ceremony and reburial for the remains of 140 Vietnamese advisers and voluntary soldiers brought back from Laos, at Do Luong district’s cemetery dedicated to fallen combatants on Jan. 6.
The remains were located and collected by search teams from the Lao provinces of Vientiane and Xieng Khouang, and Nghe An provincial Military Command in the dry season of 2011 and repatriated on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2012.
During the past 26 years, the province has collected and repatriated over 12,000 sets of remains of Vietnamese soldiers from Laos. /.
