(VOV) - Vietnamese border guards in the central province of Quang Tri and Lao police in Savannakhet province have discovered an illegal drug trafficking network from Laos to Vietnam.
Khammani Xamuongbo from Laos was caught in the act when he used his motorbike to transport 10,000 ecstasy pills into Vietnam through the Lao Bao international border gate at 12 pm on March 8.
Xamuongbo admitted buying the drugs in Vientiane, Laos, and establishing Vietnamese contacts to sell them in the central province of Quang Tri and its neighbouring provinces.
Earlier on March 7, the Quang Tri provincial border guards also arrested two Laotians in possession of 4,300 ecstasy pills.
