Lao Buddhist Union’s delegation pays tribute to President Ho Chi Minh
PANO - A delegation from the Lao Buddhist Union, led by its President Phoong Samalot, paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum on November 25th on the occasion of their participation in the 7th National Buddhist Congress in Hanoi.
Writing his remarks in the book of memoirs after his visit to the mausoleum, Venerable Bonze Phoong Samalot expressed his sentiment to late President Ho Chi Minh, and wished the late president rest in peace.
The 101-year-old Venerable Bonze Phoong Samalot, Head of the Wat Ong Teu Pagoda in Vientiane and Headmaster of the Lao Buddhist University, previously met Uncle Ho in Thailand and Laos. He has long had a desire to visit Uncle Ho’s country and his mausoleum.
