1st meeting of China-Laos military cooperation/coordination committee held 13:44 GMT, July 7, 2011 The first meeting of the China-Laos Military Cooperation/Coordination Committee was held in Vientiane, capital of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, on the afternoon of July 6. The two sides exchanged views on specific issues concerning the cooperation between the two militaries and issues of common concern.
Jia Xiaoning, the president of the Chinese side of the committee and deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Ministry of National Defense of the People’s Republic of China, and Sisupon, the president of the Lao side of the committee and director of the General Office of the Ministry of National Defense of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, co-chaired the meeting. ??
Jia Xiaoning said that the Chinese side has always attached great importance to developing comprehensive strategic and cooperative partnership with the Lao side, and is willing to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in various fields between the two militaries.
Sisupon noted that the Lao side is willing to cooperate closely with the Chinese side, so as to continuously promote the military relations of the two countries to a new level.
