The Child’s Dream Foundation in Thailand has financed the construction of the Longkang Primary School, Khong district, Champassak province.
A handover ceremony for the newly built school was held last Friday, Oct 14, between the Child’s Dream Foundation’s Field Coordinator, Ms. Supattra Matakoon, and District Education and Sport Office of Khong Director, Mr. Bounthong Chanthalangsy.
Head of Khong District Administration Office, Mr. Phouvanh Sisouphon, was present at the handover ceremony along with over 50 officials representing local authorities, and local people.
The newly built schooling infrastructure is a one-storey building and sized 8m X 35 m. Its construction costs 420 million kip.
The construction was commenced in January 2010 and complete in July this year. Besides to the assistance from the Child’s Dream Foundation of Thailand, local people and beneficiaries contributed 30 million kip as complementary resources for the construction.
