Talat Sao mall 2 was officially opened, last Friday, to serve Vientiane residents, local and foreign merchants.
The construction of shopping mall 2 is a modern market with a total investment of US$72 million, said Mr. Laerence Leow, Chairman of the Crescendas Group Company.

The new Talat shopping mall II with 8-storey building was built on 66,500 square metres, incorporating retail and commercial spaces such as a shop units, fast food outlets, restaurants, a hypermarket, department stores, entertainment areas such as a Cineplex, a bowling centre and a hotel, said Mr. Laerence Leow.
He said that the Talat Sao Mall 2 is more than just a shopping centre. It will be a lifestyle destination. For instance, an international business person who arrives in Vientiane Capital city can stay at our hotel and hold meetings with his business contacts here, pick up gift at the specialty stores in shopping complex, dine at the restaurants or catch a quick bite at the food court, or watch a movie in the Cineplex.
Mr. Laerence said we believe Talat Sao Mall 2 will raise the attractiveness of Vientiane to local and international visitors. And using Vientiane Capital as the base, they can explore the historical and scenic regions of the country.
Work on the Talat Sao mall 2 commencing in March 2009 and was completed in July 2011.
Very soon, we will embark on the construction of the Link Block under phase 2A of the Talat Sao Mall. This will link Mall 1 and 2, to integrate it into a complete Talat Sao Shopping Complex.
The entire Talat Sao Mall Complex, comprising both Phases 1, 2 and 2A will yield approximately 100,000 square metres of floor space. I believe that the completed Talat Sao Mall Complex will be an icon of private enterprise and a symbol of free economy in Laos.
Vientiane Mayor Soukhan Maharath said the Talat Sao mall 2 it is a building in central of Vientiane Capital and it will attractiveness the business, investors and customers come to use the shopping mall and also is a business investment in Vientiane as well as the Lao PDR.
