Thailand grants 1.5 bln kip for Viengsay Secondary Schools improvement

Thai government has granted over 1.54 billion kip to finance the construction of computer centre with a laboratory of the Viengsay Secondary School, Houaphanh province.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the basic infrastructure was held on Monday, Dec 26 in the presence of Vice Governor of Houaphanh Mr. Chanseng Phimmavong and Thai Ambassador to Laos Mr. Wittawat Srivihok, and relevant authorities.
The building is one-storey, sized 9X40m, with fives rooms.
Its construction is expected to be over in April next year.
The grant assistance by the Thai Government is to construct education infrastructure and improve the education quality in Houaphanh province especially in Viengsay district, in line with the policies or directives of both governments Laos and Thailand and represents the solidarity between Laos and Thailand who are neighbours, especially the peoples of the two countries, said the Thai Ambassador.
